Is there a way to predict what the weather is certainly going to be without any error? No. How do hurricanes and tornadoes form? What causes an Aurora? Is it hard? Not if you pay attention, participate, and study. Are we going to learn about the jet stream?yes What kind of group work do we do? Labs, activites, projects, and just on simple worksheets sometimes Will we do the forecast for each day, how correct will it be? We will not look at the forecast every day.Our predictions will usually be general, but fairly accurate. Why do you like penguins? They have personalities. I enjoy their lives. My personal favorites are cloud/precipitation types and storms. What natural disasters will we learn about? Hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc. Why is snow white and ice clear? Will we be doing much with water? We will talk A LOT about water and work with it a little. Why/How can you hear thunder? What is it? How many different clouds are there? What do clouds have to do with weather? How is lightning created? When will we need to know this? The Air Pressure and Winds unit seems to be the hardest. What will tests be like? Usually tests have multiple choice, some completion, diagrams, short answers, an occasional essay.
